Dear Friends,

Many of you know Fabi from her posts on Fun Day Sunday from blog of our friend Gratiana. And perhaps you know how much she is an amazing person. But maybe she does not know! There are friends who are precious because they walk with us in our journey through the world of Te Pö (night) to the Te Marama (full light). Flowers and Book

In the garden of the Great Mother there are countless flowers. Beautiful, lush, colorful, fragrant flowers. Flowers that speak of love, friendship and good will. Small flowers that grow on the mountain, between the stones against all odds, it speaks of strength and perseverance. Flowers that inspire us in the traffic of large cities asking not to forget the beauty of life. I like to greet all my friends with a “Hello Flower” because it reminds me that friendship is a rare flower that must be watered and cared for. This year, I met a flower called Calexora. Callie looks like a small flower and delicate on the outside, but inside there’s a great force, which like the little flowers on the mountain despite the cold, wind and altitude, they spread their beauty around the world.

Some time ago Calexora had a great idea, make a book to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Richard Armitage.

Her joy was so keen and her work was so delicate that it has united 117 messages from 31 countries, strengthening the friendship between many people. I was the one who wrote in her book, despite all my resistance to this type of interaction with an artist. I share with you what I wrote, in a way to honor our dear friend and remind her that everything will be alright.

Dear Richard Armitage,

The fact we do not know each other does not mean that we couldn’t be friends. The bonds of friendship are sometimes independent of direct contact and born from empathy, the ability to put yourself into someone else’s skin and understand the unity of life. The pain of one is the pain of all. And the happiness of one is the happiness of all. What do I say to a friend on his birthday? I look in their eyes and give them a smile, and in my mind I say a prayer. I thank heaven for that precious friend, on whom I can rely. I pray for his road to be always quiet, his table to be always abundant, his dreams to come true and that he has inner peace. And in a world so barren of affectionate words and love, I would tell him why is he important to me.

So, Richard, can I call you that? You’re an important friend to me, because through your art for a few minutes I forget my external world and dive into a world richer and deeper: my inner world. With you I can dive into the dark side of my soul. We are all a little villain. We are selfish, hurt and we manipulate at least one person along our path. To deny this is to deny our human nature. As in the American Indian tale, inside me there are two dogs: a cruel and a good one. Which one do I feed? When I watch Guy of Gisborne, I see your cruel dog, frustrated by everything that has been denied. I see his descent into the hell of guilt and remorse and it saddens me to realize that his happiness is so close, but he does not realize it. And it makes me reflect on my frustration and anger: is my happiness that close and I don’t realize? As Lucas North, what is the extent of the damages to my soul? I can survive the years of torture, but can I survive my own mistakes? Have I created a persona and do I act as if life is a play?  Do I wish to be what I am not? Or despite my mistake do I decide to continue on. Be better and do good. Isn’t this a true act of heroism? This is what I see in John Porter.

 

Of course, no one is truly a warrior. We do not face a real shield wall. But the shield wall may be a disease or an emotional difficulty. I think your shield wall might be dealing with your army of fans. This is a fire test. Each one has its own. But the war (real or not) is wrong in every way. We are born for happiness! Am I romantic? Of course I am! I see Margaret with her dreams and idealism, her mistakes and youth. I dream of John Thornton, his masculine strength, courage and his unconditional love. Isn’t that what all women want? To love and be loved? Yes, a female heart is nourished by love! My rational mind is far from novels and no longer seeks for the ideal man. But the girl I was, used to love happy endings. I let her live inside me, playing with her dolls. The woman that I am is able to deal with reality and nourish this child with many romantic heroes and a world of fantasy. John Thornton is her favorite! And so, with my healthy inner child, my heart will not become barren and hopeless. Dear friend, there is so much I wish to tell you! But I know you have a long adventure on distant mountains facing dragons! I will not take more of your time. I’ll just tell you that being an actor is a gift. In ancient beliefs, talent was a gift from the gods to help others, as well as one’s own soul, to evolve. Thank you for using your talent with so much responsibility. I pray for your road to be always quiet, your table to be always abundant, your dreams to come true and I wish you inner peace.
